In the Netherlands, of course, you are not guaranteed good weather all year round. But then, once the sun breaks through, it’s natural to enjoy it to the fullest. Green weekend
Find yourself at Vlugtenburg surrounded by overgrown dunes, shrubs, plants and, in spring, flowers. Take a walk around the dunes and admire the beautiful views. Plan an outing to the nearby forest for a leisurely bike ride. Many studies show it, that a few hours in nature has a tremendously relaxing effect. So choose a weekend with lots of greenery and relaxation will follow naturally.

What better company than a faithful four-legged friend? Dogs are not always allowed at all vacation parks. But at our park, we would love to see you show up together. Dogs are also allowed on the beach, where you can therefore go for an active beach walk.
Friends or girlfriends weekend
Are you around this time to book the annual friends’ weekend away? Are you looking for fine cottages? And an environment where you can do many activities with a group? Then you’ve come to the right place! We have different types of accommodations, from luxury safari tents, to chalets, bungalows and gypsy caravans. A camping area is also available for a truly nostalgic camping experience.
There are always a lot of activities organized on the beach by different providers. For example, you can go powerkiting, bubble soccer, surfing, XXL supping and blokarting. At our vacation park you can try to escape from the exciting Escape Room.
Romantic weekend
Once in a while it is important to set aside some quality time for each other and go out together. To make sure those butterflies flutter again for a while. With our breakfast service, you don’t have to worry about breakfast. We will deliver these to you completely fresh to order in the morning. In the afternoon, opt for a nice walk on the beach and admire the sunset together. In short, Vlugtenburg offers the ultimate, romantic get-away.
Family Weekend
We have different types of accommodations ranging from 4 people to 16 people. So there is plenty of room to vacation with your family. But also to come with the whole family including grandma & grandpa, aunts, nephews and nieces.
There are plenty of fun things to do for the whole family. Entertainment entertains children in high season and during the vacations. Or the kids entertain themselves when the parents are snuggled up on the terrace eating lunch. And the kids can have hours of fun in the large adjacent outdoor playground.
Wheelchair-friendly weekend
The vacation park is equipped with several luxury care bungalows and the associated necessities. The large outdoor playground is also set up so that some equipment is wheelchair accessible. Then you are in your bungalow so close to the sea and of course you would like to admire the beach. For that, we have two cool solutions; one is a beach wheelchair. And the second option is a huge beach crawler that rides up the beach for a tour here on reservation.
Active weekend away
Shopping weekend
In need of a new wardrobe? Then dive into the center of ‘s Gravenzande. Or visit the extensive shopping cities such as The Hague and Rotterdam. You can easily park your car at the Hook of Holland harbor and from there take the subway that goes directly to Rotterdam.
Cycling Weekend
Vlugtenburg borders on one of the most popular cycling paths in the Netherlands. A bicycle path that connects Hoek van Holland and Scheveningen with a dazzlingly beautiful bicycle route. You cycle the entire stretch through, over and next to the imposing dunes. The dunes here therefore not only serve as a protection for the land, but also as a special cycling route.
Thanks to the many junction routes in the Netherlands, you can cycle everywhere to your heart’s content and determine your further route along the way. With, of course, small breaks in between at a tent for a cup of coffee. Don’t have a bicycle yourself? The reception of the park rents bicycles per day.
City Break
From Holiday Park Vlugtenburg it is literally 3 times to fall over and you find yourself in Hoek van Holland. If you go the other way, you’ll be in downtown The Hague in no time. Or for the beach lovers; you will be on the cozy pier of Scheveningen in no time. Furthermore, Vlugtenburg is also close to the cities of Delft and Rotterdam. So during your stay, you can easily visit multiple cities.
Cultural weekend
Another fan of a day of culture sniffing? Visit one of the many museums in the surrounding towns. See the Netherlands in miniature at Madurodam in The Hague. Or learn more about the history of Westland at the Westlands Museum. Opt for dinner at a Japanese Water Garden. Or check out the local treasures found on the beach in the Beachcomber’s Shed which can be found at the resort.
Culinary weekend
Indulge your taste buds during a nice weekend getaway and taste all the local specialties. Or choose that one good restaurant with those killer reviews. In the village center of ‘s-Gravenzande you will find several good restaurants. On the beach you will find several beach bars with a casual and summer atmosphere. But even in the surrounding cities, you can go all out in terms of different types of restaurants. It’s okay to treat yourself once in a while!

Weekend in a Pipowagen
Relaxed slumped on the porch while the sunset draws a palette of colors on the horizon. The Pipowagon is the perfect get-away to enjoy the beauty of the Westland beach. Westland is a special area. It consists of several cozy village centers and special attractions. Westland, for example, has the largest flower auction in the Netherlands. You can learn about the area in an original way, for example, by picking strawberries yourself in a greenhouse. You can participate in a bicycle tour which cycles right through the greenhouse. And you can admire the constructed natural phenomenon the Sand Motor.
