The center of ‘s-Gravenzande, city by the sea, is less than 10 minutes away from Strandpark Vlugtenburg. Called ‘Breeje Durp’ by Westlanders, it has been officially a city since 1246, when ‘s-Gravenzande received city rights.
Cozy shopping heart
Right in the center you will find the recently renovated Market Square with its old village pump and terraces. From the Marktplein you walk into various shopping streets, including the Langestraat and the Graaf Willem II street. More than 100 enthusiastic shopkeepers and catering entrepreneurs would like to welcome you.
Around the Marktplein, but also in the Gravenstraat, the Langestraat and the Graaf Willem II Square you will find cozy eateries where you can enjoy an extensive dinner or a quick bite. After shopping it is good to relax with lunch, a high tea, high wine or a cool drink on one of our terraces.
Shopping for a self-prepared meal or breakfast? In the center of ‘s-Gravenzande you will find 4 large supermarkets; Albert Heijn, LIDL, Jumbo and Hoogvliet are easily accessible with sufficient parking space.
Every Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. there is a lively weekly market on the Marktplein. About 30 food and non-food stalls offer their wares here every week.
Combine a visit to the shopping center with a visit to De ‘s-Gravenzandse Korenmolen or the Dorpskerk in Langestraat.
The center of ‘s-Gravenzande has a public toilet and offers free parking at Graaf Florisplein, the Hart van ‘s-Gravenzande parking garage at Pompe van Meerdervoortstraat, Zandeveltplein and Vaartplein.
Open all day from Monday to Sunday.
